Uldis Dirnēns aka Detlef born on December 18th, 1980. Uldis aka Detlef became popular after his participation in reality show “Talantu fabrika 2”. Also his pseudonym arose in the show.

He is a lead participant in band “Detlef Zoo”(1998). There are 4 members in the band: Uldis Dirnēns,Mārtiņš Millers, Kaspars Ansons and Mareks Ameriks.

Uldis writes music and lyrics of the songs.

Radio single “Četras sienas” topped Radio SWH chart at the first place. After the first successful hit follows also “Stils nevainīgs” and “Blind Actor”.

Received Copyrights Infinty Award for the best debut song “Stils nevainīgs”.

Album “Tu izliecies par sevi” is debut album for the band and 13 songs are included. (2004, MicRec). Band is considered as the best Latvian guitar rockband.

The second album “Skapī” was released under guidace of British musician (participant of band “Gang of Four”) and producer (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gang of Four, Futureheads and others) Andy Gill.
