Rodrigo Fomins aka Igo was born on June 29, 1962. He started to perform in 1978, participated in various groups: “Corpuss” (1978-1980), “Līvi” (1980-1984), “Liepājas kvartets” (1983-1985), “Remix” (1985-1990), “Rīga”(1990-1991).

 At the beginning of 1990s he started solo carrer. In 1988, when idea to retrieve Latvias independece was started, Igo performed role of Lāčplēsis in rock-opera “Lāčplēsis”, composed by Zigmārs Liepiņš, the libretto was written by Māra Zālīte. Later in 1997, he played the role of Kvazimodo in rock-opera “Parīzes Dievmātes katedrāle”, composed by Z.Liepiņš, in 1998 he played the role of Dzelsomino in musical “Dželsomīno melu zemē” and in 2000 he performed as Viktors in opera “No rozes un asinīm” that was composed by Z.Liepiņš.

  In January 1998 selection of Igo best songs was published in two CD's “Tas ir Igo” with songs that were performed together with “Līvi”, “Remix” and also from rock-opera “Lāčplēsis. In the next year his first solo album was published - “Bet dzīvē viss ir savādāk”. In 2001 followed his next album “Trīs dienas”. In 2005 album “Mirkļa liecinieks” was published. Album “Spēle” was published in 2008 and there were selected songs from previous10 years. Album was nominated for Latvian music records annual award.

  In November 2006 collection of poems “Bezgalīgs tuvums” was published, in which were included poems, lyrics of songs and ilustrations drawn by Igo. In 2008 the second book of Igo “Viss palēnām notiek”was published. There were included novels and poems with ilustrations drawn by Igo. In 2007 Igo together with Dace Dēnava participated in TV show “Dziedi ar zvaigzni” but at the end of the year together with singer Ladybird participated as main characters in the production “Angel and Devil”. Together with Ladybird he recorded new song “Vai vēlos par daudz”. He had successful cooperation with group “R.A.P.” and together was performed song “Dzīve bez apstājas”and it was nominated for Latvian music records annual award.

In 2008 very popular became song “Spēle” that was performed together with Andris Ērglis.

The last recorded album was published on April 1, 2010, where Igo focused on dramatics by reading novels of Mihails Zošcenko “Igo runā Mihaila Zoščenko stāstus”, that was differenf from previous albums. At the moment Igo participates in Latvias music life as author of songs and singer, also he works as director, producer and manages “Igo mūzikas menedžments Ltd.”, that organises music events, also charity concerts and he is engaged to adminitsration of other musicians. Igo also participates in different projects that deals with social responsibilities. Igo together with hepatitis association organises arrangements and events that informs society about danger of hepatitis, precautionary possibilities and medical treatment in case of affection.
